I haven't posted anything in a long while. I've been spending more time trying to learn video techniques than at the cutting wheels. My smart phone is old and doesn't shoot accurate color so I'm working with an older Canon video camera. The results are uneven, especially when it comes to white balance.
Anyhow, as I learn, here's a Mimbres Valley, New Mexico "jasper" cab I cut. It's actually a highly silicate rhyolite that takes a terrific polish. The patterns and dendrites have an "other-worldly" appearance to me, like an artist's conception of a landscape on another planet.

You captured a great scene and the polish couldn't be better! Very nice.
