Hi all. I’m not new here but am recently retired with all three kids done with college. I should have a lot more time to contribute to the forum. I’m primarily a tumbler/cabber, (auto corrected to crabber), my wife would agree with that. I also have some experience with slabbing and with faceting. I am seriously looking forward to getting back into this great hobby. Some here will remember me jamesp and Jugglerguy gemfeller Pat @drummond island rocks Glad to be back and interacting with you fantastic folks.

Thanks all. How do you use the upload file button? I tried it but it didn’t take me anywhere. when I was here before I had to use Photobucket. I have some photos that shouldn’t be lost. The material isn’t available anymore.

Welcome back. Looking forward to your contributions. PB is hit or miss here. Tommy might be able to help. There is a thread in the tech help section describing how to sign up for a free Coudinary acct. and use it. .

Welcome back Starguy. College costs can turn you into a slave. Apparently costs have risen sharply since 1980. Tuition and books were less than a $1000/quarter at a fine state college here in Georgia back then. My buddies started families late in life and are just now putting their kids thru college and seem to have no play time nor energy. Or money. I hope you can make a transition back to enjoying yourself and congrats on your accomplishment.

Hi Starguy welcome back! I always enjoyed your posts about star garnets - it made an impression on me not long after I arrived here. Here is an informational post about the new Upload File button. Hope it helps - let us know if you get in the weeds on the setup. Many here also continue to use Flickr or other 3rd part hosts for posting photos. Photobucket is pretty much dead to a lot of us after their shenanigans last year holding everyone's photos for hostage.

How long have you been absent?
You do know about Jakesrocks, right?
Sad, sad point in our history.

Welcome back Crabber! Wasn't that a TV show in the '70s? Something like that.
Good to have you back. Lynn
