Here’s the latest. There’s a little flaw in my favorite, bottom right and an odd matte spot near the bottom right of the cherry creek. Oh and a stupid fracture in my awesome almost perfect circle charoite. Back to the grind.

Oh wow! is it too much? The background is iridescent medium by Liquitex, painted onto a tightly woven canvas board. I can't wait to do this with a tent. Oh and I'm having a conversation with myself again

Nice cabs. The one on the lower left looked a lot like some stuff I found in Central Nevada, which is black and gray. When lit up with the flash though the color changed.

All beautiful, but I especially like the crinoid marble.

Nice bunch of cabs. Like the variety of shapes and materials.
Photography of rocks is an art in itself. Am finding that different colors of rocks/cabs are best photographed with different colored backgrounds. If one is using an adjustable camera, the white balance can be changed for a more natural color in photos.
I found that when using a white background, I need to ensure that no darker colors (ie what the background is sitting on) are in the photo. That said, I am only using a mostly not adjustable camera within my phone.
