#4 looks like granite. Will wait for others to chime in, but have some ideas on the others.

I just looked at photos of what was in the box when I received it in June. That one was there. Not mine.

I have seen material very similar to #1 called Bay of Fundy seam flame agate , also Mexican Flame agate . Not saying it is either though .

I does seem like a flame agate, but I haven't seen that gold background color for it and I wouldn't know the location- maybe Mexico?

Just did an image search and saw a few that looked like it.
I'm surprised that whoever put it in the box hasn't responded yet.
I think the others are onyx- excluding the last. It looks like something that a member once sent me from WY. No name or nothing just something he picked up.

I think you are right on the both being onyx #4 I'm still unsure about. It has some flash to it. More research needed. I'll start with Wy. Thank you

Tela, are there some rocks in the box left over from previous years? Could be someone that doesn't hang out around here much anymore. Like someone from Wyoming, maybe? Like Jim? wampidytoo

Could be. I wish I could remember the name of the one guy. He wasn't here very long. He sent some youngite, too. And, yes, I have gotten some from Jim that looks similar, but it didn't have any flash. - Just remembered his name- Braders.

You know, he had a contest a few years back, which I won. (Not gloating.) He sent me quite a selection of rocks for the prize. Will have to take a look see at them, see if there is anything similar. Wasn't going to post the contest thread, but there's enough new people here, maybe someone would be interested. Good for a chuckle, anyway. Take a look or don't. Need some chow?
ETA - Just realized that I posted photos of the swag from braders on the last page of that thread. See anything similar? Still wouldn't know what it is, but maybe ties it down to being from Wyoming??
