Here they are:
Left to Right: Petrified wood (unknown locale), unknown agate, nephrite jade
I haven't decided whether to submit the wood or the jade for the February FCC

Those are outstanding, but I love the wood. Perfect cut!

Thanks, both. I am leaning toward the wood. I love jade, and I'm fairly it, but this is one of the pieces that resisted getting a high gloss on it. It was splintery and wanted to orange peel, but I got past that. However, since I did a one-off for the contest, I didn't have it mounted on a nail, because that would have interfered with shaping it, and doing it after, the superglue wouldn't have set properly. I'm pretty sure I can get a high gloss on it if I mount it and lean into the leather pad, but I probably won't have a chance to do that before the end of the month (tomorrow looks unlikely, but I'll mount it today, and see what happens).
Does anyone have any ideas where the wood might have been born?

They're all beautiful, but that wood is amazing! Great work on those!
