I don't have any new adjectives to describe how great the first bunch of rocks is. The rock I find most interesting is the last one. That is a very UnChuckLike way of finishing a rock. You've left that pet wood sort of natural. I like my rocks as close to perfect as possible, and for that reason, pet wood frustrates me. I see that you've gone with the flow and left it the way it wants to be. I think that was a good choice, but the stuff still frustrates me.

Beautiful as always. While I appreciate a perfectly polished stone as much as anyone, my favorites are the ones that have a great shine but have made it all of the way with some kind of imperfection. It is a link to where they came from. Not that we are not striving for perfection, and we would not be happy with an entire batch of flawed finishes, but some contrast is nice.

I love the idea of tumbling it but very few pieces have have made it through my process. I really wanted that one to survive because it had cool dark agate streaks in it. I do have some really light colored material that I bought as pet wood and have been tumbling it but I need to post it and see what the experts think. Chuck

I like #2, but all are very interesting. Thanks- I wanted to toss that rock several times during my clean outs because I knew I would never tumble out the imperfections. The only reason it survived is because I have no idea what it is and had not seen one like it in my batches before. Chuck

I've grown to expect nothing less from your Lot-O results......and like always, the photography is top notch.........the bar set here with both will continue to be what this amateur (me) strives towards.......!

I'd call #2 a ragamuffin, a real nice one. #9 makes it for us, we tumble lots of pet. wood, perfection is difficult but the healed aspect of the rock is tops.

The ones in pic four are interesting, really like the bone shaped one! No idea what that bone shaped one is. It is a mix of hard and soft minerals so it undercut in areas. CHuck
