Hello Everyone, My name is Teri and I am new to researching stones and tumbling, however I'm an old pro at picking up a pretty rock and putting it in my pocket because I just couldn't leave it on the ground. Recently a friend of mine took me to see a lady who sells rough/tumbled stones, crystals, etc. While digging through her stone collection, I came across a stone that she said she had in her possession for the last two years but had not been able to identify. Once I picked it up, I *had* to have it, to which she gifted it to me and told me if I ever found out what it is to let her know. So here I am... on a quest to figure out what kind of stone I've got. Whatever it is, it's become my sidekick, as it goes every where with me in my wallet and backpack. LOL Anyway...here I am I think this stone is my introduction into this hobby, which I am excited to get into. Nice to meet you all! Teri ps~ will be posting a thread with pics of the mystery stone as soon as I am done here. any and all help identifying it is greatly appreciated! even if it's worthless, the *knowing* is priceless to me now...hahaha
