So if you read almost exclusively non-fiction tech papers do you wear 1000 hats?

Much of my work in the past, demanded it sharpening tools saw some individuals in the trade who had to hold the work far away to see up close or maybe even put on readers ---tough gig But I guess ya adjust Anyway its pleasure to be able to just pick up a book and start reading without Which brings me back to Eco in TNOTR ha I’m wondering if the monk glazier is able to craft a new pair of lenses for William of Baskerville spectacles? Which were stolen by an errant monk Luckily William as Adso...

I have a reading addiction ...thankfully as opposed to a reeding addiction (basketwork and woodwinds) Nothing like a good, printed paper book. I've tried those e-books - can't stand to read that way. I expect the new generation will think a "book" is anything over 4 paragraphs or swipes on their phones

Its doesn't feel the same as a book and I've tried Most books I get from the library with the exception of a few that I must buy. C.J Box and John Stanford for example Which I havent gotten the new Pickett one yet and its driving me crazy

I read 20 books or so a month. I really could have used ebooks when I was on a submarine.

Did you read this Book? Does EMF affect Physiology? The Body Electric was written by Dr. Robert Becker as a result of his attempts during the second world war to regenerate body parts lost by our soldiers. Why can some creatures regrow body parts and others cannot? A valuable read!

I bought it and never read it. Now it's buried in the basement
I was raised in a household with lots of books and music. Now my head is filled with too many ideas.
I like reading, but how do you know what to believe.
Fact or Fiction

I have a huge paper book library and I love 'em. But with my paperwhite Kindle I can bring my library with me wherever I go and have a selection of my own title preferences. It even works in the dark. It's especially a godsend at doctor's offices where the usual choice of reading is "People Magazine," tomes on how to avoid everything from sore throat to cancer and the like. I used to pass my time there reading ancient National Geograhic Magazines but even they seem to be disappearing in favor of trivial nonsense. I know not everything's available for Kindles but I have no trouble finding more good titles than I have time to read -- and I read a LOT. I've always been a voracious reader. The only drawback I've found with Kindles is that graphs and the like are generally too small to be useful.

I get the convenience of a Kindle, but nothing beats the smell and feel of a book
When I have a book I am really into, I take it everywhere. I even read in the car at the stop lights. I get teased about always having my nose in a book
I average 20-25 books a month, mostly fiction, but occasionally self-help and non-fiction.
& If I dont have a book, I am reading magazines, or I am online reading about whatever I am into for the day/month (Current topic: Bees *trying to help my dad obtain a MN winter hardy strain)

I cant do ebooks either. Its doesn't feel the same as a book and I've tried Most books I get from the library with the exception of a few that I must buy. C.J Box and John Stanford for example I go through different phases of reading, but I really came to enjoy CJ Box. I started "Vicious Circle" but never finished it. Now you made me look, and I see "Wolf Pack" was just released this month. I guess I'll have to get back with it.
