That is crazy awesome! Is that a brecciated jasper? Never seen that before but is sure is cool! The first one is an agate. Personally I do not consider it brecciated. A brecciated stone would have angular fragments cemented together. This looks more to me like the white areas grew first then the whole thing got cemented together with silica.

Throw one of those brecci slabs in a solution of copper sulfate for a few days, it will turn the white areas a cool copper blue/green.

Wow wonder what a cab looks like? If I get around to cabbing some I will post the pics. I have the end cut in a tumbler right now to clean off the outer surface and to smooth it out.

That first specimen is wild. It looks like surface flakes from a dried mud puddle got glued together by a silica solution. Does it have many healed fractures?

Looks like whatever the white is that it formed first then it all got cemented together. The spaces are purple agate and you cannot see it in the pics but there is blue banding in various areas especially around the druzy pockets.

James , if you have long and short wave lights , try lighiting it up and it may well go bright green or blue

James , if you have long and short wave lights , try lighiting it up and it may well go bright green or blue I tried a LWUV light. most of the white areas turn a light creamy yellow and the clear areas are purple.
