Not only good information about agates, but, also beautiful specimens. My favorite is the fire agate. Found some many years ago in the Wiley Wells area of the Colorado desert in So Cal. James

I had the opportunity to meet the author - Pat McMahan at the Pow Wow at Quartzite. What a nice guy. He invited me to his house/shop if I ever visit Cottowood, AZ where he lives. He has a great attitude about finding agates. He's a plume agate addict. He can go to a location where plumes have not been found previously, and find them. Or to locations where "the good stuff has all been found" & find the good stuff again. He has 9 claims, and finds plume agate at most of them.
At the end of the Pow Wow, which is the only show he does each year, he sells all of his remaining material as a lot to a single buyer. Not everything he owns, but the finds from the year. Then he starts over the next year. Lynn
