Been a rockhound for 40 years. Typically uses a dual drum quart size lortone tumbler. Discovered my grandads old lortone gallon (?) Size tumbler I recall always running as a kid. Want to post a pic to see if anyone can ID it for me...just fired it up! Buddy inherited a collection of over 1000 lbs of raw beautiful stones. Gonna start chipping away....now to figure out pic posting...

Welcome to the Forum. If you can't get photos figured out right away, take a look at this page: lortone.com/pages/instructionsOn it, you'll find instructions (with photos) of all current Lortone tumblers, but they've changed little over the years. Maybe you can ID it that way.

A Gallon sized Lortone tumbler would probably be a QT12.

A Gallon sized Lortone tumbler would probably be a QT12. Agree, but it also looks as if Lortone also has some commercial-type tumblers with rubber-lined, metal barrels.

Hello and welcome from Europe. That's quite some respectable age of experience, 40 years! Make sure to post some of your greatest finds and tumbling achievements when you figure out how to post pics.

Greetings from Scotland, United Kingdom! I currently have the following Lortone QT12/66 rotary tumbler, Lortone C300 rotary tumbler, 2x Viking Vibrasonic 2x 14lb and 2x 6lb hoppers (Diamond Pacific) (USA) vibrating tumblers, Hans lapidary 6 wheel rock grinder and polisher, 6 inch blade and wheel combo unit that is currently under redevelopment, with Silicon Carbide grit Fixed80, F220, F600, F1200, with Tin Oxide (1.0 micron) and Aluminum Oxide (0.3 micron) polishes. Most likely the Lortone QT12 also known as QT and old models were painted gold than the current Blue. or the Scott Murray tumbler!
