Planning a trip up that way, never been there before. Anyone familiar with the area mind sharing some info on where to look? Feel free to PM.
Thanks!

Sorry can't help, but you might find something if you search the forum. I remember a few threads about the place.

I may head up that way next month some time. If I do I can show you. Really hard to explain how to get there with the various turns on a dirt road.

We tried it twice before giving up and going around to our usual and more direct route through Fallon and across the mud flats. We went this way in probably ten times over the years before the rare rocks and gems guy and rest of the world 'discovered' my playground lol. The route was always nerve wracking in places but we never got stuck. Unbeknownst to me, after the big winter storms of 2017 the government dug a large flood protection channel from Sheckler reservoir all the way over to the Wonderstone Mountain area which took it directly across our route. Not knowing this, I gave Tony catmandewe and roy directions to go that way and Tony ended up getting stuck. I have not been back up since that happened to see if I can even send someone that way with confidence.

I need to get up there soon, but have to check on my dad's schedule who lives up that way. So check in with me when it gets closer to the date.

The only hard part is all the turns and knowing when to turn. Once you get to the mountain and try going up it then the road becomes really crappy with lots of large loose rocks on the climb up.

Tommy gave me the coordinates, so I'll be able to put the route in GPS. If you're around in June, I wouldn't complain about having company, but I should be OK with the info he gave me. Thanks for your help.
