Does anyone here know who made this saw for Sears?
Some similarities to Raytech, with vise on opposite side. It's a good refurbed saw - tried it out last night after cleaning it up a little.
Thanks for looking.

That looks like a Star Diamond product IMO.

It became the Barranca Diamond PF 10. Replaced by them with their aluminum bodied 10" saw. The really old ones had vise on right side but was later moved to left. I was told their engineer was left handed and when redesigned all saws were left handed. There were complaints about the vise and some users modified. From the factory if you loosened to move the cross feed you also loosened rock in vise.

Right on the money as usual, John. One wing nut on the tail of the all-thread that tightens the vise, which also locks down the cross feed.
Have already been thinking of how best to modify it. There are a couple of ways to go about it. I just have to be careful not to rush into using the first thing I come up with.
My second ideas are usually better - and the second option always works better if I haven't already screwed it up by not thinking it through.
That being said, this little saw really works well.
Thanks, John.
