What is your "go to" glue for those of you who use sterling silver grommets in their drilled stones?
Thanks!

2 part epoxy is the only glue I use when gluing metal to rock and that includes the grommets on my bracelet beads. I used to always get the Devcon brand from the rock shed but awhile ago I switched to the gorilla glue brand that is sold at Lowes and Home Depot. GORILLA EPOXY Gorilla takes epoxy to the Gorilla Tough level. With its superior solvent and water resistance, Gorilla Epoxy adhesive is incredibly strong and durable for household and automotive repairs alike. The easy-to-use syringe keeps the epoxy resin and hardener separate, so it is easy to dispense. The two-part, gap-filling formula easily bonds steel, aluminum, glass, wood, ceramic, tile and most plastics. Plus, it dries in an ideal, clear finish that makes projects look spotless.Chuck

I can vouch for Epoxy 330. We did a boatload of magnets a couple of months back and they not only dried crystal clear but bonded extremely well. Tried getting the magnets off a couple of test pieces and couldn't do it without breaking the rocks.

I use 330 until I started buying some new stuff from my knife blade suppliers. It’s awesome and a lot larger quantity.

Re:330, just be sure both surfaces are ultra-clean. It's excellent epoxy and doesn't yellow but a little finger oil on the stone will prevent good bonding. I clean both parts with acetone before gluing, then mix the epoxy very well. I have opal doublets I made with it 35 years ago and they're as good as the day I made them.

Definite yes! on Epoxy 330. Also going on 35+ years of making opal and other materials as doublets and triplets. Keep the surfaces clean and don't Whip bubbles into it when you are mixing the two parts. Bob
