I just want to state for anyone of you who are wondering or worrying- like I was- the lot-o tumbler is very quiet. It has more of a vibration than a noise. You can hear it, but it isn't loud. Mine is next to my front door in the mudroom and it doesn't bother us, at all, not even at night. I had originally planned to only run it during the day, but that is actually not necessary. DH was hesitant about my getting it, but he doesn't mind it. No one has complained. It has a hum, but it isn't loud.

That's nice to hear, Tela. I was probably one of those who reported that the vibratory tumbler could be a loud little guy. My MT-4 can be as loud as all of my rotaries (rubber barrel Lortone's) all together. I actually have my rotaries living inside the house now! It has been 110+ in the garage, here in June. And will only get hotter. I felt bad for the these guys and moved them indoors! Here is a shot of some of them in a corner of my office. My vibratory still sits in the garage though. The truth is, it is producing BETTER polished rocks in the heat than it did during the Winter. I never expected that! Just thought I'd share.
