Dunkin' Donuts joins the fray with a seasoned sausage plant-based patty. Maybe they'll add a doughnut made from real beef.
Update, October 21, 2019: Dunkin’s Beyond Sausage Sandwich is going beyond (don’t fight it) its original Manhattan rollout. According to QSR Magazine, Dunkin’ will take the Beyond Sausage Sandwich nationwide at participating restaurants beginning November 6. The sandwich includes the seasoned plant-based patty, plus an egg and American cheese on an English muffin. The rollout includes complimentary samples of the sandwich on November 8 and Saturday, November 9 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., at participating locations while supplies last.

That’s what I said the other night when I came in from raking leaves and the wife said she made shepherd’s pie . . . with the last of the turkey. Wasn’t bad, actually. : )

Although the article used scare words to imply that the burgers were the result of "chemical processing" there wasn't anything going on in any of the 3 lists of ingredients. Just a bunch of plant-based ingredients plus vitamins. Not even as much tinkering as goes into a bowl of cereal (though the Impossible list on the right side does have GMO yeast). I was surprised that the dog food list of ingredients was so healthy, though I agree with the "Ewwwww!" factor of the guy who actually ate it - it smells terrible, plus much of it is produced overseas and the ingredients don't have to meet FDA standards for human consumption (mold, insects, and other contaminants). Turkey Shepherd's Pie sounds pretty good - if it has the word "pie" in the name, you've grabbed my interest, unless it was baked by Mrs. Lovett from Sweeny Todd ("We've got shepherd's pie peppered, with actual shepherd").

It goes into either the beyond or impossible burger. And at the rate the air in that factory eats through aluminum/copper coils, it may as well be pee.
