Hoping you guys can help with this one. One piece looks like it says Big Maria Mts NM but the seller said Cali Desert. Any ideas?

Looks a bit like some pinolith, though I've only seen that from Spain and Austria. Probably a similar sea fossil.
Big Maria Mts. are in Riverside County, California. There are some sedimentary ocean deposits there according to Mindat.

There are some sedimentary ocean deposits there according to Mindat. Thanks I should have said that it was very different from the Pinolith that I have from Austria. It does look like it a bit in its patterns but not in the structure.
