I only use the polish the Rockshed sent in a grit kit. I don't even know what it is. Is that sufficient, or should I be adding or using anything else? I read about the different things people do and I think maybe I can do better. Though, I don't know what.

I have never ordered a grit kit from there but 99.9 percent of all of the tumbles I post are done with rockshed A/O polish. I would assume he ships that same polish in the kits but you may have to call to find that out.

For everything I have tumbled, both in a rotary and Lot-O, the AO polish from the Rock Shed is all I have ever used, with very outstanding results. I once asked Shawn with size the AO polish is, and I was told it was 1.5 micron (13,000). That's what you should have in your kit.
