I put this together for a good friend. He has appreciated rocks for a long time. His Dad was an avid rock tumbler and cabber. Now, my good friend, Mr. Jonathan, has the time and space to work with the many rocks he has collected over the years and those from his Dad. Here is what I included in the package: A barely used, vintage Thumlers Tumbler. A Thumblers and Lortone barrel. Two new belts. Enough grit/polish for at least his first run. All grits/polishes were labeled with size and stage. Ceramic media. Kitty litter. A measuring spoon. A brush. A bag of misc., smoother rocks. A 2.5 page in depth tumbling guide. This was something I wrote. It includes additional items he should purchase, tumbler maintenance suggestions, cleaning of tumbler/rocks and how to determine if the rocks are ready to move on. I also included a list of references for materials and further info. How to determine hardness of rocks. Did I forget anything? I am giving it to him tomorrow.

He does so much for so many. I felt it was time for someone to do something meaningful for him.

you forgot the 2 buckets, 4 old coffee cans, 2 window screens and 8 rolls of paper towels i always find necessary.
JK, that's a nice haul and should be everything he needs but the time. I sent my brother a 6# lortone and instructions last Spring and he still hasn't touched it, and i've wondered if maybe i should have at least included some grit. That kit looks ready to roll.

I think he already is. Saw him at the Rock Swap this year, purchasing rocks and slabs.
