Those brush marks are driving me batty! A question: What options/opinions do y’all have that would make it better?

Wonderful pendant! How about "Forever Wild"? Those brush marks are driving me batty! A question: What options/opinions do y’all have that would make it better? Here's one idea that might help. I assume that you're referring to the brush marks appearing on both the "sky" and the horses. With a higher grit diamond polishing bur (like maybe the Lasco rubberized abrasives burs, say 1200 or 1500), it should be possible to polish/remove most of the scratches from the horses. That would make them stand out even more from the background.

The horses look like mirages, kind of dreamy. I would definitely do something to the background to make them pop out a bit more. They're kind of vague now.

Hey Mel, nice piece!
Couple of ideas -- Sunshine has a pink cloth now that is coarser than the yellow and will create a satin finish. Maybe that on the sky area and perhaps some LOS to darken the horses a bit?

That’s exactly where the scratches came from. I was removing some of the LOS and trying to stay away from the already faint mirage of the horses. I don’t have the polishing cloths but I am going to remove the scratches with my Cratex wheels and try and be extra careful adding the patina back in.

It’s a good thing I made 2 texture plates of the horses. One’s an innie and the other an outie 😂 going with the outie in the future.

A soft jeweler's brass brush used with some Dawn and water scrubbed after LOS will take off the LOS without scratching the hell out of everything. I use it a lot with wire wrapping. It leaves a nice shine on silver without the marks and you can adjust the patina to your liking with the amount of scrubbing you do.
ETA: 000 extra fine steel wool will do the same thing. Use with soap and water.
