Adam,
There have been 3 posts here recently, and none before that since early August. How is that "blowing this thread up like crazy"?
The thread is 64 pages because it has been around since you were in diapers.

We had a new addition to our family yesterday so it's time for an updated family portrait We welcomed in Xena (the warrior princess) Roxie yesterday from the Bay Area German Shepherd Rescue organization. We've been looking for a second dog off and on for quite some time, but we are limited on space in our little trailer home away from home so we wanted one about half of Charley's size - he's a big tall 100 lbs Malinois (mostly) mix. We did not intend to get a second Malinois but the BAGSR knew we've been looking for a while now and they contacted us and told us about Xena Roxie - and when we met her it was love at first sight. She is still puppy soft - somewhere between six months and a year old and under nourished at 52 lbs - will probably top out around 65 which is typical for a Mal female. In other words she will be larger than we wanted but we love her already and will make it work. She is SO sweet, and gentle, and well-behaved, and ACTIVE(!) all at the same time. Typical Belgian Malinois but after raising Charley from 9 weeks old we know we can handle whatever she throws at us. We don't know if her ears will come up like they are supposed to. There are known causes of why Shepherd ears don't come up - one of them is being malnourished when very young - this could be that OR she could be younger than we think and they will come up soon. Either way, she is SO adorable.

Congrats on the new addition, Tommy, she's a beauty. They are amazing dogs. I just watched a show last night about combat dogs attached to the Rangers. Story about a Malinois named Benno and his replacement Layka. Look them up on Google.
