I have used Chevron Shingle Oil in my 16" HP saw since I got about 4 years ago. Works very well. Smell is not that bad. yogibear

Got mine today. The mailman dropped it right in front of me trying to bring it to the door since it wouldn't fit in the mailbox because it was stuffed. Great material. Thanks to all who helped with this box. Especially Catman.
TKS again

I found with my UV10 that if you put a carpet square under it, it will cut down the noise that it does make.
It is not real noisy to start with,

Recieved my box today and it was packed to the place that the mailman asked if I wanted him to put it someplace so that I wouldn't have to carry it. Beautiful!

Just went through this on my UV10. Call Al at 1-800-225-1017 He will sell you the parts needed and tell you how to remove the old one. Not that hard to do.

Local rock shop charges $8.00 per cut. He will cut anything up to 12" for that price. Comes in handy when I have rock to big for my 16" saw.

If you look at the length of the adjustment slots showing then Johnjsgems is correct. The motor is sitting sidewise and could be the reason for the problems you are having.
