My mistake - it was in Creating Cabochons Tutorials. The Thread is INTARSIA- a walk through my first piece.

Rockoonz - Lee, I've been staring at that picture for the last ten minutes trying to figure out how to replicate that thing! Thanks for posting the pics!! - Oh...and your first intarsia in that thread you linked was awesome! I don't want to re-post the entire post because it is long, but in the Creating Cabochons section there is post by Pat from Sept.30, 2017 with a picture of a simple home made rest to make intarsia on a flat lap.

For me, one of the most time-consuming tasks is filing the back plate flush with the bezel after sawing it out. Rough filing followed by a fine file took me around 10 or twelve minutes per cab. For $60 I bought a 1 inch belt sander at Harbor Freight. With this, I can do the same job in about a minute. Since I hate filing, this sander has been a game-changer.

That's really cool mgrets! Did you make this?? I don't think you need to "move on" to anything else. Golfers are a great customer base...they tend to willingly spend more money than the average person! Thanks for the kind words. The steel divot lifter was purchased as a blank from a knife company, I think it was Premium Knife Supply. The flint was self-collected and cut.

Success! I don't really know what changed. I just went into Cloudinary, cleared all my choices and started over. I think I did exactly the same things, because I was following Tommy 's instructions, but something worked. Thanks to all for your help! Mark

I'd love to see a bigger image, but from what I see- I like. The sheath is very nice, too. My DH is making a sheath. (Don't tell him, but yours is nicer. ) I decided to try making sheaths after a little encouragement from NDK. The first couple were a little rough, but I'm starting to feel satisfied with how they turn out.

Tell us more about the blade... made from scratch? Kit? What kind of steel? It sure looks nice. I made the scales from a piece of rough I bought at Quartzsite a couple of years back. The blade is a purchased blank I got from Premium Knife Supply. It is 8 1/4 inches long and made from 9Cr14MoV stainless steel. Seems to hold an edge well.

mgrets You can also resize pics in the reply box by previewing the pic and then clicking on it. You will see the little white nodes appear and then you can click and drag them to resize your picture. I usually click on the upper or lower right corner and drag it diagonally to maintain the height and width ratio. I tried this multiple times but nothing happens when I click on the pic - no white nodes and I can't drag the edge of the picture.

Changing the BBC code does not have any effect. initially, this pic looked bigger, but I guess it is actually the same size.

What is the original size of your pictures before you upload them? If they are large, see the post Tommy did recently regarding the Cloudinary settings here 4th page. Make sure when you are in the Edit Transformation screen that you change the mode to scale (that's what Tommy uses and so do we). Hope that helps! Thanks, Robin. I followed all of this, including changing the mode to scale, but no joy. I’ll keep trying…

When you're typing your thread out (or a reply) look at the bottom of the box you're typing your post in. There's a "BBCode" tab down on the bottom left - next to the "Preview" tab which you would be in regularly. Click on the BBCode tab - look for your image address which will something like this: img style="max-width:100%;" src="https://res.cloudinary.com/drqxosbjp/image/upload/v1648422656/u1lwbg4on6yr4ijvqd5d.jpg" alt="" Where it says max-width:100%, try changing that percentage to 200% and see if that will work to increase your picture size. It works when I want to downsize from 100% down to 60%. Thanks, Jason, I’ll give this a try!

After posting a thread on the Creations, Intarsia board I had several requests to increase the size of the pictures. I have been going through the threads Tommy has developed to help folks post photos. On Cloudinary I found the page where you can set the pixel size, but even when I set these up to 2000 and save the edit there is no change in the size of the pictures in my post. Anyone have a solution?

Thanks to all for the kind comments. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to enlarge the pictures. I know most folks need help decreasing the picture size or just posting photos; I always have to be the oddball. I will be posting a plea for help on the technical help board.
