Havn't been to Branson in awhile. Is it still the same cluster**** that it used to be or were they able to widen the main road??
I like Silver Dollar City unfort last time I was there the 2 biggest coasters were down but we had a good time otherwise and not too awful far from home.

I have to agree. Sometimes waiting is better. Batteries and electronic parts way cheaper online so I never buy them locally. My daughter needed a bluetooth dongle for her laptop. $0.99 for two included postage from Hong Kong! In my case for the oil it was the same price to just go get it less than 5 miles from home. Same price the local benefit was speed. That's a poor subject with me.................try shipping that back to Hong Kong and see what it costs you! Granted a lot of the stuff you order isn't available here perhaps but I still don't like the whole idea around it.

When I said destroy I basically meant screw up. You know.........kinda like some peoples insurance plans. That still has me on pins and needles but I don't care to go into details on that.
Maybe we should start a kickstarter campaign and hire a bunch of techies to build a satellite and have Russia put it in orbit for us and create our own ISP and let the FCC rot on the vine lol. There are already things going on like meshnets etc but I don't know much about them. Of course the FCC, or whoever, will probably try to regulate them out of existence but much like 3D printing the cat is already out of the bag there may not be much they can do about it.

Did work Friday morning. maybe weekend crash. Good call. Most likely answer as the site did work friday here too. I live near many equines. Laxative oil is $14/gallon here in three or four different stores. I had to visit three to get 5 gallons though. Gasoline to do that was less than $2. Got it done in less than 45 minutes. I also leave near a bunch of equines but the nearest farm stores are over 20 miles away and generally don't have that much on hand. I have found that in this economy it's easier and often cheaper to just sit here and have stuff brought to me. FEDX really hates Walmart's free shipping over $50 lol------we have 10 cats and I have cat litter brought to the doorstep lol. Even if I might save a few bucks going to get it sometimes the time of not wasting an afternoon going to town is worth it. It's a real pain out here when you forget something so the neighbor and I use the buddy system on occasion--telling each other when we're in town if they need anything etc.

Is the scbt website down or is it just me? I haven't been able to get on since yesterday. Me either i'm thinking weekend maintenance. Or we put them out of business due to high shipping costs lol.

You have 4 months to raise hell about it if you don't like it: www.occupythefcc.com/I personally don't see anything good coming out of what they are trying to do with the net. Perhaps some of you with cooler heads can make all of it sound like it's not as bad as it seems to me?

Must be some truth here I know some techies that recently left KansasCity and are Austin bound and could be more to follow.

I went round and round with a supplier over one of the 18" import blades they couldn't seem to understand it was NOT my saw and it was the blade. Funny that the MK doesn't wobble on it. I've seen guidrails with roller bearings on saws before I could try that but haven't got around to it.

Thanks Daniel appreciate it and good to see some other people got tipped off as well. That outfit is probably wondering what the heck are these people doing with all that laxative? LOL.

Someone had posted that on here sometime ago I did a search but coming up with nothing. I had it stored in my browser but my browser crashed.
They were selling it with free shipping on 5 gallons or so many dollars worth I can't recall.
Thanks!

You'd be a fool to not buy it for $100. You could resell it for $500 as is and use that money to buy a bigger saw if you want. Or rocks lol. Of course if it's from a friend you wouldn't want to upset them.

I've seen Mohave saws up close..it's either that or an Ideal or someone built it modeling one. Also it was built from a kit. The Mohave's i've seen have had the rear angle notched out for the blade. They also had the nub grabber strips on the vise bookends like yours has. The motor on the front is a gearmotor and you can order them here: www.mcmaster.com/#electric-gearmotors/=rzmfxs

They still have the 12 listed on their website. I think that a clamping bar is vastly inferior to a real vice, and a stamped metal carriage, any carriage sliding on the ways isn't the best thing either. Using shaft collars to hold the ways in place aint my cup'o'joe either. All that said, everyone I have met who has ever purchased a new one for a lot less than anything comparable has been ok with them. I know of someone who has 3 of them running from first thing in the morning till bedtime 7 days a week. Lortone has been in business for over 50 years, amazing what incompetence can do. I was in a meeting with the grandson currently in charge, got to hear some stories about rockhounding in Mexico as a child with the original owners of the rock shop here in my town. Their design change on their vibe lap is pretty cool, no more bouncy balls and springs. All the painted steel arbors are going away, they will only be making the stainless ones. Their Scott-Murray expando drums are made in the USA, unlike everyone elses. Did I mention that the only way to get a job at Lortone is for them to grow and need more people or for someone to retire, it's a great place to work (no I don't work there, I have done consulting for one of their suppliers). I bet the person who answers the phones knows the difference between a customer and somebody collecting data to copy their products. Lee #2 I'm not copying anything and i'm not the one that called them all I wanted to know was an answer to what should be a simple question. I personally don't have a problem with this saw you can't have all-cast componets, bookend vises etc and sell it for the price they do everyone always seems to forget that. The simple solution is to go buy a more expensive saw that has that stuff on it.

I've moved a lot of heavy stuff with the 3 pipe method, namely commercial hvac units. I actually have a couple johnson bars in my shop right now. I've installed hundreds, if not thousands, feet of unistrut and have never used it as a trolley system. Most applications use unistrut for the multiple holes, not shown in your pic, and therefore you don't have to drill and can drop rods out of the sky in any location.
Funny story........unistrut is one of those items that sometimes you run out of and can't get by or wait without. I was out on a large job that they wanted done that day and when I was going down the stairs to tell the foreman I seen 2 plumbers walking upstairs each carrying a 20' stick. I said "heh wtf are you guys doing with my unistrut!!! You can put it right there and go get you're own!!!!!!!" Magically it worked and not till after the job was done did they realize I screwed them. Oh well......they would've done the same thing. Lord I don't miss that crap.

Looks like they're the type that can sustain the loss of a 2 car garage. LOL. Pretty cool overall, that's a huge rock! Still not as bad as the people that build nice houses on the oceanfront. My mindset is if you do that you should be able to afford the loss. You'd think they have insurance but it always seems to be such a devastating loss? People really amaze me sometimes. Or I should say dis-amaze me lol.

You're little dude looks like a royal asshole. I'll never forget flipping off a large chunk of mountainside in AZ and there was about a thousand, or seemed like, lizards behind. After finally getting to the bottom I was sitting on a large rock and thought I seen something out of the corner of my eye and turned around and there was something about the size of a small cat and green and sticking it's tongue out at me about half an arm distance away. That was enough. Went back to the trailer and caught the worst ear infection possible the next day and had it the entire rest of the vacation. Bastards can go to hell. LOL.
