Well I guess I am the turd in the punch bowl. I recommend the unenhanced photo. I sell using the under promise and over deliver principle. It makes making money on ETSY very difficult but I feel good about all my products and sales.
And I love your work. it is very nice.

We will have to get together after this crisis is over. Maybe a collecting trip to the badlands.

Lots of color but looks like a lot of waste. Does only the junk rock make it to market?

This will get worse before it burns itself out. One of the sailors from the TR died. Fair winds and following seas.

Yes buying rough is a real crap shoot. Even more so when you can't handle and examine the rough before you buy. I rarely buy the expensive rough because I have been burned. I also stick to a few sellers because they consistently describe the problems with the rough and seem to provide better quality for the dollar.

This whole thing is a shit storm. It is pretty clear to me that the flag officers and senior civilians in the Navy dept need to be ruthlessly purged. It is also pretty clear to me that will not happen. Time to duck my head and collect my check. I would discourage any young person from serving such a corrupt government.

That is a really good handout!!!!!!!!!! Didn't read the whole thing yet but it seems to answer all my questions and then some. All kinds of possibilities.

Very impressive. Would you mind sharing a few details of your process? Maybe a tutorial?

Welcome to the forum. This is a hobby that you can enjoy at all levels of cost and involvement and the community seems pretty small and very friendly. A nice place to take shelter from the outside noise.

I love the colors and patterns in that Deschutes slab but those slabs cost too much for me to learn to butcher and turn into dust. Maybe in another ten years I will learn to cab and be bidding against you for them but until then I will just sit on the sidelines and admire. I will have to check out your store and see if there is something I need to turn into jewelry.

I agree that Tony's rock yard is the most productive place a rockhound can spend a day. If you have not been there you have to put it on your bucket list and make sure you bring a big vehicle to haul your pretty finds home.
