I see imperfections in stones all the time. Some I know will never be made into jewelry, because of the crack, etc... I just cut a boulder opal that kept opening up little holes. end result was not even worth a picture, the holes effectively hid the opal, which would have looked like 2 lightning strikes. I was very disappointed. I have gotten much better with scratches that I leave behind in the last year of doing this. I probably should go back and rework some of the earlier cabs.
On the other hand, you take a cab and get a good picture. You throw it on the computer and start seeing little scratches or other imperfections. I have to take a deep breath and tell myself that is alright because I am magnifying the stone by a factor of 20 sometimes. There is nothing visible at low magnification. But sometimes it still bugs me.

USPS tracking used to be totally ineffective. As in there were notices when the package was scheduled for pick up and delivered. While it has improved a lot, it still has hiccups, especially with things like holidays.

I finally got the chance to vote. Dealing with sick parents is not fun.

It wasn't a bad thing, had the whole family rolling on the floor laughing when it was pointed out.

My Grandad was a Ford man through and through. He ran a Ford garage for several years and never owned anything but a Ford. At his funeral, the family realized his last ride was in a Cadillac. Oh my.

It is rough rock with most from her hunts, including stuff from ranches that have not been open to the public. She has not decided how to handle it yet. She talked options range all the way from sell all at once to selling by the pound, but has not made any decisions yet.

I don't have that many on there, but I had better figure out the one for the website. Eventually they will change the rules/charges for that also. The big wonder was so many companies have done it for free and spoiled us. There are costs for them involved so it was good while it lasted.

More news on this front. Sounds like Teri is getting ready to start selling off some of her agate. She is going to be sorting some out that she wants to work on and is thinking thru options to get rid of the rest. I have problems finding a rock I remember from a trip when there is only a couple of buckets to look thru, I wish her a lot of luck with hundreds. The estimate is over 40000 pounds. With that said, I would guess that is also signaling the end of her hunts along with the ranch closures.

Sounds like the overwhelming opinion is shrinkwood. hope the cabs will be large enough to show some of the structure, though I do worry about the fact there are some pockets.
