Thank you very much. Still kind of simple for some of the wraps I've seen out there...but I'll get there. My personal opinion is simple is better if you have a good stone to begin with.

If you cannot explain it: Aliens. I was thinking the same thing, after they evacuated, they collapsed the base.

I buy some wonderful slabs from this group and have had great deals with several sellers. I have been quite happy with what I have received.

The rock shop in Abilene, ks named twigstones has 2 very large pieces that he obtained buying an old collection. I have no idea how to value them given the rarity. I was shocked how light they were. About a foot long and 4 inch diameter so I was shocked. And he only moved here from Atlanta a year ago.

So sorry, I think that weather followed me down there. Glad to hear you had a fireplace, lots of folks with frozen waterpipes down that way.

The geysers themselves would be usable with an air pump. The most likely problem with the club set up us lack of oil on the leather. If a couple of drops don't help take the pump apart, it is easy. Take the screw out of the leathers get them oily reassemble. The other main issue being the belt.

I caught a shot that shows the rainbow effect, but wow is it tough to capture nicely. The more I see Montana agates, the more I like them! I have picked up quite a few and have some tumbling now, but I never new they could have such color effects coming out! That one looks cool even without that little plus. This effect is why you often see montana agates cut much thinner than other slabs, more likely to get the effect, also the stone must be polished to a degree to see the effect. I am guessing that you have to get lucky on the orientation also. Other agates can show the same effect, Brazilian agates and similar agates from Indonesia are ones that I know of.

I know, I feel so lucky to have gotten one, I think the slab, basically a cab's worth, set me back a dollar. The colors started showing up around the 4th wheel. Though it is crystal clear in between the black, most of the time there is a small amount of color playing there. Gives it a more milky appearance in photos than the actual, though you don't really see the color in most shots. I wonder if you hold it (or prop it up) so you can see sunlight coming through it and take the picture that way, if that would help should the iris. cloudy today, so I will play more. Should also try a shot to show how clear the stone actually is.

I see it on the bottom of the cab. I've cut a lot of MT aggies, but never had any iris.
