Always remember sometimes things are going on in a person's life that we sitting behind a computer know nothing about. I get that 100%. I just tend to be hyper critical and forget that others don’t operate the same way I do, without going into further detail. I understand as I think most people have a tendency to forget not everyone is like we are. It's also easy to thin we "know" someone because we interact with them on a platform such as this. We judge based just off someone typing something, and I'm just as guilty of it

Oh, now that's just wrong. LOL! Don't give her a hard time. I remember one person had it about a month. She said she didn't have postage money, so I sent her the money and she kept it longer. Good on you. I would’ve done the same. Although shame on her for keeping it longer after you sent money. I get probably over crotchety about things like that. I get super pissed when people let me down, especially when I go out of my way. Always remember sometimes things are going on in a person's life that we sitting behind a computer know nothing about.

I'm assuming this is also from that same area? Is the Fire Ledge available in rough? And who would we get some from?

I really need to order another +$100 bucket of oil. When it gets here I would also give a considerably lower price for slabs for anyone who wanted to muck out my saw. Then they can come do ours

Nate and I have probably half a ton of material (and that's not alot compared to some) and I'm not saying we have primo, but we don't have junk either. There is no way we can go through it all, but I can't afford lower prices either. We put $ into it not with the expectation of making money, but because we just like rocks and this hobby Then I also collect because IMO some stuff you just won't come across anymore and I want piece of it. I have some incredible slabs of some pretty hard to come by stuff and I wont even face polish them. If I come across better than what I have, I may buy. But too me,I don't care about value. They just are something that are beautiful as made and I'm blessed to have them in possesion.

There is a saying that goes..
It's worth what you'll pay for it
I've been trying to do some sales and I do not think I charge enough sometimes, and I always put in bonuses and I'm not selling a lot at all. There is no way Nate & I could go through it all and I'd like to fund the silversmith part of the hobby. So as a seller, I'm not seeing people dropping alot of money right now. As a buyer..
I'll pay if it's something I want. I've even done trades & I've paid alot for some stuff and not alot for some others. And every once in awhile I kick myself for not dropping a couple hundred on some material when it 1st came available.

Welcome from Minnesota I have a hi-tech trim saw and it's a beast, so I'm not sure where you heard they don't last. Mine is going on 5 years now. As far as my 10" saw thats an oldie HP and it's also a beast. I really recommend joining a local clubs, looking at craigslist, FB marketplace, and auctions. If I were to get another, I'd get am older model NDK built one and it's pretty dang cool too

@msali You were asking about the royal eyes cabenite. Heres what it looks like in the rough. They are rhyolite nodules, the jasper forms on the outside in or so it appears. This is the First cut. And let me tell ya. Its getting nicer the more I cut into it. Oh my goodness! I think I fainted. That is one of the prettiest rocks I've seen in a long time.

Do you need just the quartz or are you looking for calibrated quartz caps? Don't even know enough about it to know what I need! I just know it's an option for some of the dino bone I have. I've seen some on Etsy recently And if I'm not mistaken, there was a thread on here that talked about synthetic quartz bars

As far as I know he doesn't have pictures anywhere. NDK and I have been there 3-4 times and I can recall maybe once looking at the catalog.
