I've got a three -day job going on changing out a rooftop air conditioner plus all the ducting and a bit of other work. I was at this person's house a few years ago when I was just starting to get into lapidary stuff again and didn't really have any equipment. I talked to her a little bit about her rock pile in the backyard. It's a large planter that someone else had built. I mentioned at this time and she said she's looking to get it cleared out of there. Nothing really amazing. A lot of old school mariposite. Some of it is nice for mariposite. Since I live 30 miles from Mariposa, that's something I have quite a bit of already. There's also quite a bit of obsidian and slate. I'll let my office manager take a lot of the obsidian and all of this slate. This is the big flower bedI kind of outlined it in red. Here some of the rocks closer up. One of the chunks of obsidian I grabbed. It was just kind of different looking. I found a few other pieces of obsidian this color plus a nice hunk of wonderstone. For some reason I can't seem to edit and add pictures now.
