Thank you, everyone! Today, I am officially what the Brits call a "pensioner." If it wasn't Monday and it wasn't my regularly scheduled day to go to my Dad's, you can bet I'd still be in bed lol.
Today I'll be going with my two sisters to an indoor antique and junk mall. We all went there a few years ago for my birthday. It may even involve some rocks, as this place has everything.

That sounds like a fun day right there! I love antique and junk malls and yes if it's a good one it usually involves a rock or two even if it requires it to be removed from somebody's crappy attempt at jewelry

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. I was already feeling old yesterday, but did not feel any older today. Go figure? Thanks, jasoninsd . I only made a few purchases - two rocks and four small succulents. I guess we recently kind of went off on a succulents kick! None of the plants had the names marked on them, but looking them up online is pretty easy (unlike rocks!), and half the fun. Bob liked them so much, he wants to go back up there tomorrow. I know he will easily spend more than I did. Lunch was Mexican food at JV's, which we took back to Dad's and ate there. We had a great day. So, Pat , I get to do it all over again tomorrow, and not have to wait a year in between. Verse two tomorrow. The two rocks purchased were a purplish-pinkish polished limbcast about the size of a kiwi, but not fuzzy ($24) and a ~3 1/4" sphere, light brown and dark brown with a thin quartz vein in it ($28). I'll have to take pics tomorrow. I don't know why I was thinking of Brits this morning? Maybe because the Queen recently passed? Until I collect a pension (none coming that I am aware of), I guess I can't really be called a pensioner. The Brits should just call a spade a spade, and say we are OLD! But I know what you are saying, Jason, Brits have a way of beating around the bush!

rockpickerforever - Jean...I gotta ask...what all did you order for lunch? (I know Mexican...but what "flavor"? LOL) - And how's your dad and Bob doing? *Gobsmacked is another favorite word I got from the Brits!

Thanks for the thought, Mark Mark K. It hasn't happened yet, and I probably won't be going out later. How long is that wish good for? Oh, rats, today only. Well, Mark, what the hell would I do with a million dollars? The IRS would find some way to take it away from me, then throw me in prison to boot, lol.
