How did I know that was a jamesp thread without even looking? He once sent me some coral "condos," cut open on the front side, some botryoidals, and coral to make cabs with. Also some of his TIGed SS jewelry. He called it "venereal warts," lol. 😆 |

Occasionally you will find a 'pod' of these hollow corals all packed together. One pod had about 50 hollow corals. Like an apartment building of corals. Brazil nut pod:  |

These came from a very infected rock bar. They do tumble cool. Some have opaque layers that wear during tumbling making eyes.      |

These came from a very infected rock bar. They do tumble cool. Some have opaque layers that wear during tumbling making eyes. Those are beautiful! I wouldn't have guessed that they would have eyes when polished! And I see you have given them some glasses for their eyes. |

My wife was talking to her daughter who had just sent her a picture of a toad she had found in her yard. My wife told her not to touch it as she'd get warts. I told my wife that was a wives tale...but she wouldn't believe me. I finally had her Google it! LOL

Mine's so naive, she finally learned to believe the opposite of what I say to her. Not lies, just reverse truth communication. Very effective. She calls me a liar by not telling stuff, calls it 'lying by omission' - what is that ! No such thing woman, fight follows he he. I gotta be careful though, my little brother thru a rock in the water when she was looking at fish, soaked her, she picked up a bigger rock and threw it and broke his ankle. He never messed w/her again, I think twice...woman has some kind of natural born killer gene(s). |

When one of those clay filled pseudomorphs loses its seal(say a crack happens) the clay leaks out and the river water must(?) coat the bots with various colors of chalcedony. When tumbled the boobs wear down showing the layers deposited(eyes). Unbreached pseudomorph are always full of gumbo clay after sawing  After pressure washing clay out(takes forever). Note lily clean innards with the 'purple hayes' coating  Cap sawn off same psuedo  This was a small community 'pod' dug out of clay still bound together. Ready for the saw and pressure washer. They will be hollow. One pod had about 50 hollows, mother load find. Find some 2+ feet in diameter but too heavy to get in the boat.  Some are schizo, drusy quartz, calcite and multi-coated bots   Some are part psuedo and part 100% filled  Many got (likely) killed by boring clams(two bore hole terminations)  No telling what happened here  3 coral apartment building  3 apartments with 2 small outhouses. One is the quartz crystal apartment, another a calcite apartment, 3rd is unknown since the saw missed the entrance.  the slums    glass house  the white room   real estate agents shopping in a spring hole  |

ashley This was 30 years ago. We were garnet collecting in a big creek. He was like 40 feet away when she hurled a tennis ball size rock. It was going fast. He was leaning to one side dodging with only one foot planted and the rock just happened to hit his planted ankle. None of us thought it would hit that target; he was laughing at her like she was a joke and incapable of throwing. Surprised me too. And Bob's soon to be wife had no mercy on him, he started the whole saga and she finished it ! I took that bunch caving too and she and Bob had mud fights the whole trip. They just had the aggravation electricity.

Well, I was guilty of teasing my little brother that he was too much of a chicken to splash water on her when she was gazing into the wishing well. And had been picking on her to raise her anxiety level a bit. So I did assist in the culmination of aggressiveness. Your husband enjoys a wonderful hobby. You womens love any kind of attention(oops, here we go again) lol and just kidding. |
