Mouse over someone's screen name. Their tag will pop up. Use THAT name with the "@" symbol directly in front of it. A few people have different tag names than their screen name. The only way to see it is to mouse over their screen name.
Hope that helped.

rockjunquie's answer is perfection, but just want to add another route to the same result - if you click on a member's name to go to their profile, or right-click them open in a new tab, you can copy their 'username' and paste it into your post then add the '@' symbol in front of it. Yes it's definitely extra steps but for me it's a tad easier to deal with than the mouse-over-and-type-it method.

There is no way to hover over the name in order to see their user name as far as I can tell. I definitely find using this forum easier on the computer. Reading is fine but it's a bit cumbersome to post on the phone. In that case I usually go to the persons profile page and screenshot it and then have my photos open to look at so I can see how to type their @name. That's the best way I've found while on the phone.

The other way to do it is to click on fifth (from either end) of the icon buttons at the top of your post. Type in the user name (or part of it) and click on the box with the person you want to tag. It automatically adds the tag name with the @ in front.

khara I dont do anything on my phone other than make phone calls and text(im old lmao) I use my computer for most everything. OR find a post by the member, hit the quote button, and their message with their proper user name is automatically inserted at the top. Here I used the code button so the BB code is deactivated. [code][quote author="@vance71975" source="/post/1246265/thread" timestamp="1666465661"]@Khara I dont do anything on my phone other than make phone calls and text(im old lmao) I use my computer for most everything.[/quote]
[/code] Delete all you do not want to repeat.@vance71975 post/1246265/thread. PS - I'm really old. I only use my Hand Crank LAND LINE (that does not comprehend ?texting?) when I absolutely have to.
