I started these in May. They finished up the 120/220 stage. I turned the Lot-O off, rinsed and washed everything, and got ready to start pre-polish. But when I plugged the Lot-O back in, this is what happened. After several months of patiently waiting, I was finally able to get a new motor and finish this batch. The rocks in order that they appear: 1. Green Tree Moss Agate 2. Green Tree Moss Agate 3. Desert Jasper 4. Snakeskin Jasper 5. Picture Jasper 6. Picture Jasper 7. Zebra Jasper 8. Zebra Jasper 9. South Dakota Prairie Agate 10. South Dakota Prairie Agate 11. I'm having a hard time remembering what exactly this is. One side looks like the Desert Jasper and one side looks like South Dakota Prairie Agate. 12. Desert Jasper 13. Montana Moss Agate Album with some pictures. Even though my Lot-O was out of commission, I kept the coarse stage going this whole time and have a decent backlog of material ready to go. When I would add rocks to my barrel, I used to think along the lines of evenly distributing the rock types that I have to tumble so I have a variety finishing. I think that was fine when I started, but I started the Zebra Jasper, Picture Jasper, South Dakota Prairie Agate, and Snakeskin Jasper all in January in coarse. And because I'd only add a couple of each type every week, I had rocks of this type in the tumbler for about 10 months. I've decided what I will do moving forward is one rock type at a time. When I run out of rough too add, I'll move on to the next type which will slowly replace the previous rock. This way, I can have all of a certain type of rock finished at once. It makes it easier to pick through to find the best ones.

Way to go on this tumble...seriously! They all look great!! I'm 100% sure that #11 is a South Dakota Prairie Agate. Of the three Prairie Agates you tumbled, number 11 is my favorite type of Prairie Agate to find out here. I could be wrong...but I'm positive that one is chert...and it polishes just like flint!

Way to go on this tumble...seriously! They all look great!! I'm 100% sure that #11 is a South Dakota Prairie Agate. Thanks! After thinking about it some I came to the same conclusion. Most of my desert jasper was still going in coarse when I started this batch back in May. I think all of it has since finished and will be going into the Lot-O sometime over the next several weeks.
