Actually as a clink on link it wouldn't work for some reason ( maybe my antivirus didn't like it ? ),
but when I cut & pasted it in a new tab, Voila'.
Nice short ones - I can see their use.
I have a small short round nose that might also do the trick - I'll have to consider.
Thank you, Patty

One way or the other- you found them. It isn't that they short, but that the tip is so small. Round may work, but they are tapered and sometimes that can cause a problem.
You know, when I first bought these pliers (I have bought many as gifts, too) they were 7.99 a pair!

Just my two-cents...the type of pliers Tela is recommending is amazing. They just feel like the work the wire differently than any round-nose pliers...plus, they get into tighter spaces than round-nose. I recently picked up a set of Xuron Tweezer Nose Pliers...and they have quickly become my "go-to" pliers. Also...half the time someone posts an Amazon link, I have to click on it two or three times before it actually brings up what they're trying to link. So you're not the only one having that issue...

OK Ok I'll look at them, you're both ganging up on me .
I know what you mean about the tweezer nose pliers jasoninsd, they have also become my go to for wrapping.
I can see that a pair like that very short could come in handy.
My problem with rockjunquie pair is that I hate the big handles like that. So I'll have to look around and see if I can find a pair without that.
Thanks for the tip, Patty

OK, the THREE of you - no pressure ......
I found a pair of Xuron short nose, less of a big handle on it & a better price. We'll see.
Thanks guys, Patty

What do the earrings-to-be look like? Here's my ear cabs.
I had a heck of a time getting one of them off the dop stick with my old dop wax.
Glad someone gave the suggestion/tip of soaking in Denatured alcohol. Not exact matches ( ground at different times is my excuse :-) OTOH they are close enough to wear on opposite sides of the head &
once wrapped I bet you won't actually tell that one is pointier than the other.
Have to still polish the backs.
I was playing around with what gunge wire to use to try & do a somewhat matching weave.
The pendant is 20 gauge with 26 gauge weaving wire.
But when I was trying to do a lighter thinner version, the thin wire is just too wimpy to hold up to be woven to.
Ugh !!!!
Still working on it !

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you will create. I think you are correct about not noticing the difference in the cabs once they are wrapped, and I really like that they are "opposed."

You could prolly knock that point down easy enough, but, yeah, doubt anyone will notice when you are done.
Small weaves are tough and you have to consider the extra weight of the wires, too. I think I would go with a pared down wrap and let the stones be the matching part. But, I look forward to seeing what YOU come up with.

Finally got my earrings done this past week.
First thing I had to go and make the little cab tops more even, and as Tela pointed out, not too big of a deal & since I was polishing the backs anyway...
I'm pretty happy the way they came out - tedious being small.
I simplified the back of the earring design & I think it works - at least I like them.
Thanks for looking. Patty

A beautiful set. The copper compliments the Llanite perfectly.

I certainly have found out why you don't see a lot of woven earring wraps for sale, they are just too small to be easy.
I think I'd want to charge 4X's the pendant price !
But it came out nice , so I'm happy
Thanks fernwood, I agree I like the patinated copper with it a lot. Thanks for looking, Patty

liveoak Oh wow, really nice set! You have been a busy little bee! About how big are those earring pendants? Maybe you said a while back and I’ve forgotten. I can see how working so small would be quite tedious!

That ruler is 3/4" wide .

Excellent job on the earrings, liveoak Patty! You did them justice. Earrings a PITA in general, no matter how you're making them and they always cost more than the pendant of the same design because it's twice the work, twice the material cost and twice the human labor cost. I very rarely make earrings because of that, but I have done a few pair. I absolutely hated doing them.

Thank you Robin, hummingbirdstones . I'm sure I've said it before, but I'm an earring person, so I will stick with them, just likely never look to sell them, and my sister just hasn't been nice enough, this year, to get a pair of earrings in addition to her other present, for Christmas .
