Just tumbled my first snakeskin agate... Here's a pic of the finished beauty! First time tumbling any stone/crystal for that matter. I think it turned out pretty good for a first experiment.

I like the way you did that, left enough "skin" to make the piece identifiable, nice tumble.

silverstallion Very cool. I tumbled some snakeskin once but went too far I think, down mostly to fully smooth. They look and feel nice but I think the character is lost without the texture.

I found a couple snakeskins while out hounding...I'm sure they were garter snakes! Cool tumble silverstallion!

I tumbled mine a bit too long and lost a good bit of the snake skin silverstallion. Being roundish they are a quick tumble and take a crazy polish.

Very cool! I don't think I've ever seen snakeskin tumbled and I like the looks of it. I might have missed where you said it but is that the material out of Idaho?

Being roundish they are a quick tumble and take a crazy polish. if you look directly at that pic, it looks just like my ball python when he’s eating. His two eyes with his head and lower jaw all distorted as he chokes down a rat. Literal snake skin agate 😂

A sweet snake who liked to hang out in the shower... But I just could not get past feeding time - have always had pet rats and they just hold that special place for me. My daughter has two now... Nothing against snake owners, at all - we all gotta eat. I've never heard of snakeskin agate before! Very cool features.
