I didn’t know it was a thing either, now I wish I would have written down whether they are caused by inclusions of some type or crystal structure. They’re from a geologist collection who worked in Brazil in the mid eighties. Are you going to make them into jewelry?

They'd make a killer pair of "flower" earrings. Maybe just thin one a little on a lap ?

The thinner one can be raised in the cup with clear plastic- like credit card thick plastic. Shouldn't be noticeable in the final product. Those would make outstanding earrings.
