I haven't wrapped in a long time. I had to do a couple to get back into the swing before I did the wrap for liveoak. Sorry about the pictures. My light tent is buried in my granddaughter's things while she is home on break. Funny enough, the picture of the wrap for Patty came out really good.
The first one is a dendritic psilomelane. The second is a Prudent Man agate. The psilomelane is really nice in person.

Holy moly Tela, those are awesome. I'm staring at the wrap more than the rock, then I realize they compliment each other so well

Love that first wrap, Tela! Thanks! I really like it a lot. I'll try to get a better picture when I get the light tent back.

Stunning pieces! The wires of the dendritic psilomelane piece look super in harmony with the dendritic patterns.

Stunning pieces! The wires of the dendritic psilomelane piece look super in harmony with the dendritic patterns. Thank you for saying that. Now, I definitely need to post a better picture. The metal in the picture is a bit shinier than in person. I think it harmonizes better without glare.

Here is a cobalto calcite I wrapped similarly. It was sold to a bride to wear when she was married. I love selling something that will be special. As you can see, I refined it a bit since this one. It works real well for cabs with natural tables.

Oh, My! You certainly shined up your creative hat for this duo! You never fail to amaze me with your ideas and the way you execute them. What are the little disc-like circles on the first one?

The circles are part of the gallery wire.

WOW Tela, 2 beauties.
I have to agree with Jason that first one has me staring at it - REALLY nice.
The use of the gallery bezel wire was a stupendous idea.
How in the world you finished the top so nicely - still has me staring. The hidden wonders.
And somehow, I bet the back view wouldn't fill in the details.
The 2nd- Prudent Man agate is equally nice, lots of neat binding !
It frames the pattern in the stone perfectly.
How is in, my trials sometimes end up in the scrap bin and your trials are exquisite ? !
Thanks for sharing- glad to see you at it.
Patty....... excited to be getting a package next week

Thank you, Patty.
If you think of this as a weave, it may make more sense. I kinda wove the gallery wire in. Girl, mine aren't all perfect first try. LOL! But, I learn volumes from my mistakes. With the gallery wire wrap, I messed up right off the bat, but I had so much work into it, that I came up with another way to finish it. Of course, I had my handy paper to keep track of ideas, measurements and problems. Also, when you get it right, take lots of pictures so you might remember the details later.
I want to suggest to anyone reading... whenever you see a wire that is not your standard round or square, pick some up and give it a try. The second wrap is a twist wire. I did not twist it. It's called a bead wire, I think. I only used 3 wires, since the stone was so thin. I have used ALL kinds of wires. Some were fails, some are just for special applications and some sit and gather dust. But, I am always looking for ways to make the standard wrap pop. Be adventurous.

Gotta think outside of that standard wire box
