I dug out my light tent and played around with it. I haven't used it much. Still trying to get the best light. Here is the new one- a Blue Biggs, or maybe Biggs. The slab is Blue Biggs. This looks least like it. These two are just better pics of a couple I've posted already.

Well you're on a roll Tela!
That Briggs is quite nice.
The top "heart" rounded wires compliment the stone Perfectly !
Glad you got your light tent back

Love the pattern on the Biggs. The wrap isn't half bad either.

I love what you did with the wires at the top of the Biggs!! The new pics of the other two are fantastic! This picture of the third one totally changes the perspective of the wrap for me. Not negatively...it's just FAR easier to understand with this picture. My mind and eyes kept wanting to play tricks on me with that first picture you posted.

There's little I can add, except to say that it is amazing to me that the two little wires at the top of the Biggs go so far to show off the stone. Perfect!

Thanks, Patty!
I really like that Biggs, but was stuck on what to do for it- then it hit me. Simple is better.
Yeah, the light tent makes things easier. This was the first time that I hung a cord across it. It has two punch outs for passing a line through.
Thank you! Love the pattern on the Biggs. The wrap isn't half bad either. LOL! Thanks.... I think. I love what you did with the wires at the top of the Biggs!! My mind and eyes kept wanting to play tricks on me with that first picture you posted. Thanks, Jason. I knew that I needed to put a new pic up of that last one. Looks much different now. Beauteous as usual! Thanks, Robin. Beauteous, it is. There's little I can add, except to say that it is amazing to me that the two little wires at the top of the Biggs go so far to show off the stone. Perfect! Thanks, Susan. I think just about every stone will present an idea - eventually.
I have one on my table that is dying for me to wrap it- I just need to come up with a plan.

Hanging the pendants in the light tent was a great idea.
I have to try that , mine has notches in the back corner.
One thing that I've tried (although I think your tent might be different with the lights in front) my lights are centered in the top of the tent & you get lots of reflections from them,
so I've taken the white background that they gave & make a hammock of sorts between the light & what I photographing.
It helps for the reflections.

That's a great idea Patty...in fact, the hammock in the tent idea kinda blows me away!!

Mine has an LED light strip at the top and a strip on a piece that angles down in the front for some front on lighting, which I like. I need to figure the optimum height to hang a pendant for the best light. That would cut down on reflections, too. Still messing with it.

At least I'm not the only one that struggles with good photos. Some days it seems like a nice clear in focus photo, is as difficult as getting some small scratches out of a clear agate !

Patty I had it down to a science with my old tent. Gotta learn something new. Plus, I am using my cell phone which I'm not real adept at, yet. I'll get there.

Thanks for the morning chuckle- great clip jasoninsd, brings me back to childhood & watching my brother fly 10 feet in the air holding the pole he was assigned.
Heck it would have been death to let go (from Mom) so might as well hold on for your life !
EDIT -Probably best to set up the light tent where there's not much wind especially since there's no stakes.

The harmony between each of your cabs and their own wrapping designs is simply superb, Tela. You have such an eye for design! Neither the cab or the wrap steals the show from the other: they are synergistic. Now, so you like the white background? It bugs me a little.

Actually, I have always preferred the gray I once used. I'm just learning this tent and the cell camera. Once I get it down, I'll try the gray again. White works best for product pictures, I think, but the gray looks nicer.
