Hey everyone, I'm Iris. New to the craft, but have been watching a master at work for a very long time (hi rockjunquie!). Rocks to cabs to jewelry. And even glass blowing back in the mid-late 90's. For as long as I can remember, I've been interested in and collecting rocks, minerals and seashells, and I honestly can't say how I got into it. Was it Tela, or was I just a young rock hound? Anyway, I finally took up rock tumbling, and so did my husband by proxy. We just finished our first tumble, and we want to thank some of the nice folks here who helped make it happen with some very cool rocks! I'm looking forward to getting to know the community as well as rock tumbling.

Well, a big GIANT hug to you, Iris. And welcome, of course. Remember the caverns and the bins of tumbled rocks? You were so ga ga over them!
I hope you like it here. There are lots of tumbling experts only too happy to help.

OMG the caverns near the Blue Ridge mountains really enchanted me! And I still look at tumbled rock bins at every festival me and the hubby go to. Some things never change 😁

Some things never change 😁 A lot of tumblers give away their tumbles to kids. Kids absolutely love tumbled rocks. We'll have to get you some coprolite (petrified dinosaur poop). People REALLY get a kick out that.

LOL (Just teasing Iris! ) *I was referring to the idea being refreshing...not the poop! LOL
