All, Bill stonemon has passed away. He let us know it was coming but I for one am still shocked at how quickly it came. I started this thread initially so that his wife Annette has an easy and safe place come and interact, but I'll go ahead and post what she sent me here so all are aware. Bill has moved on to the next place. Please advise me as to how it might be appropriate to share this on the forum. This forum is one of the things that kept him going. He loved the connection, camaraderie and humor. If you feel it is appropriate, I would like a little time to connect with some of the people that Bill loved here. I have no other way to contact them.

Tommy - Thank you for letting us know. Annette, my thoughts and prayers are with you right now. Bill was truly one of RTH's finest members full of knowledge, experience, and his own sense of humor. His contributions will be missed going forward...but he will ALWAYS be a part of this community!

I couldn't have said it better, Jason.
Annette, you will be in our prayers as you go through this difficult time.
Bill brought a lot of positivity to RTH. I will miss reading his comments. He was a real stand up guy and a pleasure to have in our little community.

I haven't been here for very long, actually only a year now, and what I've learned is that this is a real community of people. And it's the community of it, that I think makes it a nice place. So, although I can't quote you some terrific thing that Bill said, I'll miss him,
just knowing he's not here anymore, to add a comment, or a joke, or maybe even a smile
we didn't always see ( but maybe you heard about).
I hope you find peace in all your memories Annette, you have my sympathy.
Patty

I'm so sorry Annette. I was honored to meet you both in June, and hoped for more opportunities to hang out with you.

Condolences and Godspeed. Every time I think of Bill I remember how he won the coprolite weight guessing contest a couple years ago and how much fun we had with that. I will miss him.

Annette,
From what I knew of Bill through RTH, he was a kind and considerate man.
My heart is with you and your family at this time, and I'm sorry for your loss.

Annette, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Bill was a really wonderful person, and although I never met either of you, I consider Bill a friend from the years of interaction we had both on this forum and another one.
I will truly miss him. Jason summed it up perfectly -- Bill will always be a part of this community.

Annette, just want you to know it was a pleasure to get to meet you and Bill. Even if it was just a short visit, just know that I genuinely enjoyed the time I got to spend just chatting about rocks and everything else in between that day at the powwow. Bill was a special kind of guy, it was like having a conversation with a friend I’ve known for years, and really hoped I’d get the opportunity to spend more time with him and do some hounding. As you go through this difficult time, just know you’re in my prayers.

I can understand the difficult stress that you are under and hope all goes well. I didn't know Stoneman but did go back and look at his posts and recognized the quality work in his Trent agate pendant. The rock community will miss him.
