These are always fun to cab. One of my favorite local stones. Shout out to Jugglerguy for the slab these were cut from. Chuck

Chuck, those are stunning for sure! I just worked my first Cladopora piece the other day! To me, it smells the same as Turitella does when working it! (Both very similar materials...)

Those are looking sweeeeet. Love the cabs and you get the most out of it with the groove wrap. 👍

Those look great, Chuck. You did a good job centering the corals.

Those look great, Chuck. You did a good job centering the corals. Thanks. There was a bit left over in the slab and I wanted to try cabbing and wrapping a new shape so I did it just for a test. The pattern is weak with no real WOW factor. I wanted to wrap it with the long point down but my wife talked me into this orientation. Chuck

That was my thought as well. Pattern aside she just thought the shape flowed better this way. The template had all sharp corners but sharp corners do not do well with groove wraps so I rounded them off a bit. Chuck

I like it. Were you thinking of a stylized arrowhead when you planned to wrap it point down? I think it would have looked good the other way too.

Such a cool stone. It’s on my “be on the look out for” list. I’m partial to the 3rd round one. But that may be because I can see the perimeter inset wrap. All turned out really nice. 👍

I had just been eyeing that shape on a template and the chunk of scrap from that slab was a good candidate to give it a whirl. I was not prepared for the debate on orientation, LOL. I'll have to stick to circles. I always know where to place the bail on those. Chuck
