Hello. I tend to pick up cool looking rocks and never do anything with them. I have finally decided to jump into tumbling. I haven’t yet purchased a tumbler, think i am going to start with a Harbor Freight tumbler. I have concerns about where to put my tumbler. I live in Mesa AZ. My hubby and I both from home in a house where sound travels quite well. I would appreciate input on placement of the tumbler, will it survive AZ summers in a non ac’d garage running days/weeks at time? Opinions on the HB tumbler would be appreciated as well. Thank you.

Welcome from Northern Arizona! I don't tumble, so I'd refer you to the Tumbling Board to do some research and perhaps post your question there. We have quite a few folks down your way who should be able to answer your questions. I know there are many threads posted there that deal with which tumblers are better than others.

Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! I agree with Robin's suggestions. If you search the tumbling forum you'll get some reviews of the Harbor Freight tumblers...

Welcome from California. Not a tumbler. You’ve come to the right place. Lots of tumbling experts here.

Welcome from Southern Nevada.
The Harbor Freight rotary tumblers are hit and miss. Some people have had the break in no time flat and others have lucked and out ran them for years with no problem. Regular maintenance is probably part of the key.
