Actually, I guess it was last night. But, I just finished the patina.
The lab is the cab I was using when I messed up the wrap the other day. I rewrapped it. It is an Indian stone and the cut is not that great, which irks me. One side is thicker than other. I don't know that I could fix it without knocking out some color. It is what it is. It's really a bright stone, as is. Can't tell by my cheapo picture. The other is a cab that I got from susand24224 in our cab swap. I love the shape and the graphic quality of the pattern. (It looks much better in person!!) The edges came to enough of a knife edge to use channel wire on. I haven't done a channel wrap in a while because I was out of the wire, but I picked up a little more (it's expensive). The stone is chrysocolla and cuprite. Thanks for looking, y'all! I'm still contemplating that ruby.

Very nice! I really like that @susan24224 stone wrap. The little diamond shape at the top really makes it.

I have to agree with Robin, the triangle one with the tri ascent is quite nice. I need to start making of list of interesting shapes for cabbing - the triangle actually makes a nice wrap (when done right, like you do).
But whatever problem you had with the lab (no photo- didn't happen BTW) you obviously worked it out, as I think the wrap is nice in it's simplistic look, highlighting the stone, with the complex bail as a contrast. Or at least that's the way I see it.
Thanks for showing them- always an inspiration , Patty

I like them both. I like the simplicity of both, and especially like how the copper wire plays off of the flash in the labradorite. I love the second because I lost two fingernails to that thin-sliced cab, and wasn't sure what could be done with it. But I also knew that *you* would know, and the result is great!

I really like the round perimeter wires, the top how they come out towards you, and how they flow around the labradorite cab! The channel wire is interesting, it looks like a bezel setting!

For now, that wrap will remain dead. LOL! I like them both. I like the simplicity of both, and especially like how the copper wire plays off of the flash in the labradorite. Sorry about the nails! But, it at least it was a great cab! Whenever I get a real thin piece, I use the channel wire- perfect solution. And, it looks simple like a groove wrap. I really like the round perimeter wires, the top how they come out towards you, and how they flow around the labradorite cab! The channel wire is interesting, it looks like a bezel setting! Thank you so much. I have a fondness for using round wire. They are a little more difficult to learn to control, but they have their advantages.

Very nice wraps. I've never used channel wire but it looks great. Thanks, Diane. Channel wire is really good for thin stones and quick wraps.
