Well the Mexican Crazy Lace Agate bug has bitten again (no vaccine for that I'm afraid). I have about 25 or 30 lbs of rough that is cutting size, and really didn't want to bust it up to tumble (some real prime stuff), plus with the shop remodel my saws are out of commission. I needed to buy some 60/90 anyway so why not add 25 lbs of crazy lace? Well the 45 Lbs of grit and the 25 pounds of lace arrived today! The Lace is interesting. Some is stunning some is Meh. Something told me to turn off the light and hit it with my UV light. Enjoy: Lace dry Wet Under UV

To this day, Crazy Lace tumbles are some of my favorites to look at...and I totally look forward to seeing the results of these!

stefan . You’re lucky. I check everything with the uv. I rarely find anything. those are cool. I wonder what is fluorescing in them. I recently read that crazy lace is formed agate replacing dogtooth spar. That would explain the soft spots. Nice rough. Thanks for showing.
