I think it's quite fun! Whimsical comes to mind; it made me smile! I'm working on mine--frame done, weaving going so-so, so eventually I'll get close enough to post.

Love the shell, Patty! Very lovely. Ran some of my personal finds through the tumbler for a while last week, they seemed to smooth up a bit and are looking nice! Now I just have to choose which one I'm going to wrap... Planning on finishing my submission sometime near the end of the week. |

I've decided that shell collecting & beach combing is much what you all love about rock hounding,
we just don't have any rocks around here, so shells & fossils is it.
But I'm waiting to see your green found rock !

Really neat material liveoak Is it fragile? I think your wrap looks great! I “should” be able to find some green material here as we actually have a Greenwater location but unfortunately many of my rocks are currently packed away and I can only access certain boxes, so mine won’t be green either!👍 |

Thanks khara . No it's not fragile, it's actually a pretty thick piece of clam shell. And if I got away with mighty white wrap, I think any color will do. Lack of green is no excuse.

I finished my wrap last night. It's... ok. I still need to patina it. It's a pretty large tumble so looks a bit gaudy in bright copper, needs a bit of calming down. And I finally got some plastic pellets so I can test out tumbling with a fuller barrel, see if that works better.

Isn't it funny how we stash our special rocks in our jewelry box and then it's the last place we look when we're trying to find it again? LOL! I can't tell you how many times I've done that. |
