Went on a hunt, found the matching half. Also realized the red stuff I pulled out of a bucket last night is a red variety.   |

I did see that sphere and the one thing I noticed is it didn't have the Luna pattern per se. I tried doing a little research ( not too deep) Doesn't appear to be a lot of info available but it looks like it was found in the "Luna area".

Those are beauties for sure. The red looks like some I've found that is from an old claim near Quartzsite called Jasperella. I have a few pieces of it and it looks very similiar.  This is a wrap I did with a cab of that material  Here is a slab from the one good piece I found in January at that same location.  realrockhound, are you sure you got the material in the bucket from the Luna agate location? The more I look at your photos the more I think what you could have is Jasperella since the claim was located in 2001 and was last active in 2020. I know some material from that claim was most likely sold in Quartzsite at some time. |
