Thanks. I had a lot of problems getting a good polish on them when I first started. I was using diamond paste, and on most stones, I would end up getting the paste stuck in the tiny pits that are in most stones, even the good ones. It is hard to get it out other than repolishing with the wheels. I finally bit the bullet and got 14,000 and 50,000 grit wheels. That really gets the polish without having to use the diamond paste. Of course, then I had to have another arbor for the additional wheels. Isn't that how it always goes. There is always one more thing you need.

Those are absolutely phenomenal!! Thanks. Glad you enjoyed them. Let's see if I can do this right since I haven't tried it until now. I think you joined recently and not sure if you saw the original thread I posted for Petoskey stones. Below hopefully is a link to it. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/101759/petoskey-stone-pics

I showed a friend of mine (not someone who does anything with rocks) a few pictures of my equipment and he kept asking "what is that for?, what is that for?". I told him that when you get into rock polishing, etc, that one thing just keeps leading to another and you keep buying more and more stuff. "Well, I got this because I got that, and then figured I needed this". As others have said, it is an addition.

Those are so cool!š Iām jealous of your 2nd arbor and 14k + 50k wheels. š¤ I got an ultrasonic cleaner and that does help with polish in pits. Somewhat cheaper than an arbor plus wheels but I like the idea of even more shine.
