I wasn't sure where to post this, but I figured I would turn it into a sort of review.
I hesitate to recommend his store; I just want to keep all of his rocks for myself! 😃
I have ordered rocks from Dan many times. He has a large stash of largely Utah sourced rock (and other stuff) that he inherited from his father. He makes a hobby of selling rocks and writing letters to send with the orders. He also has a blog section on his website where he posts articles periodically. I like to read the articles, make the mistake of looking at his latest listings, then try to resist the urge to buy more rocks. It is a great form of self torture.
His store is a bit different than most; he doesn't really list very many items for sale. You need to send him a message and let him know what you like to do with rocks and/or what kind of rock you are looking to acquire. Anyhow, I highly recommend you read his blog and send him a message... but leave some rocks for me! 😉

Great looking rocks! What is the rock in the second close up? Thanks.

I also ordered from Dan after seeing your posts in RTH. I am currently tumbling some lovelock jaspers from him. They are very colorful but not easy to get "perfect" tumbles.

Yeah, I have noticed that a lot of rough rock from Utah, Arizona, and Nevada can be... well... rough. 😉
Many rocks from this area tend to be very hard as well, needing extensive time to tumble.
I assume it has had a rough life exposed to the scorching sun and freezing water (in some places). That said, some of it is very beautiful, imperfections and all!
