That I would say is pretty darn close to what I have. Does it have a name? He showed a picture to me last night and I asked him the same question. It's weird...he said it has the same name as all his other rocks..."Mine"! LOL

No name. I found this material doing some exploratory hounding. Dug a massive nodule out of a wash and broke it to manageable pieces. I'd be really curious to know if it is the same stuff and how much is out there
Might be worth going back and finding some more.
Have you done a cab from it yet?

No cabs, but I could easily arrange that. They are probably very similar but miles apart in location. I’m pretty confident where I found mine, no one else has been in there digging.

MsAli that's not Apache Gold. Looks like some kind of jasper to me. Apache Gold is chalcopyrite and black schist. ETA: Nice slabs you picked up. Love the Kokoweef!

I'm glad you said that about the Apache Gold. I had typed something earlier, but didn't end up posting it. I've had some material that came from California that looked like that...it was self-collected by a prior member of the forum.

Ya I knew as soon as I got it, it wasn't Apache. I told him but he said it was sold to him as that name. Didn't spend a lot on it and it's a beautiful slab so I'm not too upset about it. I can't believe no one else scooped up the yellow cat! The kokoweef is beautiful. That one is Nate's pick

I follow owyheejasperlapidary as well, and I believe I saw a post of his once that referenced RTH, but I could be mistaken.
