Has anyone had motor issues with the Thumler UV10? I think that this might be more of a thermal sensor issue.
After stopping my job I can’t start it right back up, I though the motor froze but I can hand spin it. It just won’t spin on its own. If I leave it sit for hours and come back it runs just fine. This is a bit frustrating, if I stop and clean the rock and try to put them back in to clean or start the next stage I often have to wait until the next day.
Once it starts it’ll run for days with no problems and no weird noise or anything. I keep it on my basement floor uncovered and it doesn’t feel or seem extremely hot.
When I go to start it, the motor hums, but doesn’t turn. Seems like it’s stuck. I know the description says this tumbler has a thermal shutoff. I’m curious if that’s what’s happening.

Sounds like a thermal issue. Try an air duster and give the motor a good cleaning.

From what I was old by a seller, they were having trouble with their motors.
Although, it could also be something got in the motor jamming it up. Can you get to the motor and see if you can manually turn the shaft to make sure it is not jammed?
